REAP was started as an R&D center to develop very low cost lighting solutions for use in anti-poaching camps, tribal areas and other remote locations that didn't have connectivity to the power grid.

Our main aim was to keep the costs low so that the common man could benefit from it and also for the government and other chariatable organizations to feel that it was an afforable solution to lighting up rural areas under their various schemes.

Our goal is to enable people to use renewable energy sources, which is eco-friendly ,and also help reduce the carbon emissions into the atmosphere, thus making our planet more greener and a healthier place to live in.

From an R&D center we have grown into a business organization that develops environment friendly , high quality poducts, that work using renewable energy and are totally green.

We are proud to be associated with the Center for Ecological Sciences [CES], IISc, and also with Asian Nature Conservation Foundation [ANCF]. These two entities have played a very big part in influencing our thoughts about nature conservation and developing eco-friendly products.

Our esteemed panel of advisors include the Chairman of CES, IISc, Dr. Raman Sukumar and the Director of ANCF, Mr. Thomas Mathew.
